National Duals – Tulsa, Oklahoma
Team California traveled to Tulsa, OK to compete against other states in the premier national duals tournament of the year. The Tracy Press covered our local participant.
Tracy High Wrestler, Gary Bairos, Being Inducted into Tracy Sports Hall of Fame
The Tracy Press has an article posted about this year’s inductees into the Tracy Sports Hall of Fame.
As a Tracy High wrestler, Gary Bairos, class of 1981, won the San Joaquin Athletic Association title four times. He went on to win two subsection titles and a Sac-Joaquin Section title and was a California Interscholastic Federation runner-up before heading to Arizona State University, where he became the 1986 Pac-10 champion and NCAA All-American.

Tracy High’s Eli Blackwell is one of two area wrestlers and the only boy and the only athlete from Tracy to advance to the CIF State Meet. This will be his second trip to Bakersfield this weekend.

Tracy Junior is Champion at Lou Bronzan
Tracy High’s Eli Blackwell was the champion at 132lb weight class at the 2-day varsity Lou Bronzan tournament at Liberty High School in Brentwood, CA. The following is the Tracy Press coverage of that event. In addition to Eli, freshman Anthony Nunes finished with a 5th place medal.
